With NL in the process of revamping, I'm taking down FWN once more. It will be reposted as a later date, incorporating the new canon. I might even be able to publish it as an alternate-universe story when NL is finally published. Also, I am in the process of revamping the Lone Star Chronicles. I'm ironing out a few problems and trying to make it as internally consistent as I can. I didn't really have a plan last time around, I was sort of making it up as I went. Here's hoping this works out for the better. Thanks for your patience.

Okay, I've been busy lately. I've done some tweaking to just about everything, but particularly FWN. I reposted the whole story. Hope you like.

Also, The newest chapter of "Call Me Nanuq" puts it in the number-ten spot on TFA in terms of total word-count. Not too shabby.

I think this style of a new "Nanuq" every few NL issues is working out all right. At least I can keep up without rushing things or stretching them out too much.

Well, that's all for now. FWN is giving me grief right now--it seems to want to go in a direction I'm not sure of yet--but things are good otherwise.

I promised myself I wouldn't let myself get nibbled to death by plot-bunnies, but here comes another idea.
"For the Want of a Nail" is my new NL AU postulating what might have happened if a few things had happened earlier, such as TJ's mother revealing her knowledge of TJ's father's affair - and having proof with the man's soon-to-be-born illegitimate son.
It'll get ugly, and I already have an AU idea for it. (Yes, I know, I need help)

I've been posting on PaNo, and I passed the planned word-count and then some, even if Anne got the two-millionth word here on TFA. That's life for you. Anyhow, there's a lot of new stuff on TB. And Nanuq. Good grief, I need to update more often...

I don't even know if anyone reads these things, but I'll say it anyway. Missing the Bus has been updated, as has Nanuq's Story. I've just been plot-bunnied like crazy lately.

Chapter 3 is finished and posted. And we're pretty much out of the territory of the original version. There's some from the earlier version in the next chapter, but we're mostly done with that.

Okay, here's the main thing.
Depending on how things go, "Missing the Bus" may become something of a collaborative effort—though it may be as simple as Anne helping me with story, you never know.
Here's some hints of the future.

In the NL realm, aside from Nanuq and MtB, I'm mulling over some other NL-AU ideas.
The premise of the first idea is: "What if TJ had kept enough of his rational human mind to run for it?" I'll admit, it might fit a little more into the vein of some of the other NL backstories I've seen lately (some of them go into avenues I rather wish I'd followed the first time around, but hey, that's what AU is for, right?), in that TJ might end up on the run, just having enough time to say his goodbyes before fleeing the state.
Another idea I've been playing with is "What if TJ in polar bear form had held on to his anger towards the bus driver and acted accordingly?" I'm not sure I like the "killer theri" idea, but I'm toying with the idea of having TJ thrown in with the killers but eventually finding his way to the Pack.
Okay. Now the last one's a little trickier: "What if TJ's transformation had occurred much earlier?" Maybe sometime during his middle teens, so he could already be an established member of the Pack. That would certainly be fun to write.

On the LSC front, I've got a lot of ideas and I can hardly wait to write them down. You're gonna love it. I already have AU plot-bunnies. (Good grief.)

Okay, I'm working on an AU of Nanuq's Story, where he never gets on the bus that fateful day. I can't promise anything but that it'll be one hell of a ride.

Okay, the modifications to Time Before are complete.
For those of you who weren’t aware, I sort of got a timeline detail wrong, and was using the 1988 calendar when I should have been using the 1987 calendar.
It worked out better than I could have hoped, and gives me the opportunity to move the story ahead quite a bit.
Hope the new, modified chapters meet with everyone’s approval.

No, I'm not done with anything, not really, but I'm just noticing that I'm getting pretty good at this. I have a decent start for Nanuq chapter 4, and Chapter 3 of Time Before is coming along nicely, though I surely doubt it'll be done as quickly as the last few chapters have been.
On the home front, I finally got "Young Frankenstein," so if you see a lot of references in the next chapter, I apologize in advance.

Or rather, it has been for some time now. Sorry the bulletin is late.
Okay, the next chapter probably will be a little while longer in coming. It's bound to be a little slow for a while, but things will pick up soon, I promise.
Also, I should have another chapter of Nanuq's Story after the next NL session, depending on how far the story progresses.
Everything depends on Anne, or at least on the NL front. As for "Time Before," well, school starts up again next Tuesday, so I might be slightly busy. But I'll do my best. After two chapters at over 11000 words each, I don't imagine anyone expects me to rush.
Good thing I'd started those two chapters in advance...

Okay, here's the basic lowdown on Lone Star Chronicles. It's set in an AU of the Dangerverse where Alex decides to get one of Amy Freeman's school friends from Salem Witches Academy involved in things.
Teresa's children end up befriending the cubs, and when the Pack makes their pendants, there end up being more Pack-friends than Hagrid, McGonagall, Dumbledore, and Snape...
I intend to explore a lot of interesting concepts and ideas I've been playing with, though I intend to stick to the Potterverse and Dangerverse rules of magic as much as possible.
More as it develops.

The Prologue for Book 1 of the Lone Star Chronicles is now online for the first time anywhere.
This is my big project, I've been working on the universe and the various aspects for months.

Chapter 3 of Nanuq's Story is up. Anne deserves quite a bit of credit for the dialog (among other things), so remember that.

Well, I finished my last midterm a couple hours ago, and I feel pretty darn good about it.
And now I have a week and change off.
Life is good.
Anne's holding an NL session tonight, so there might very well be some more of Nanuq's Story soon, depending on how things go. Just have to wait and see.
Again, all in all, life is good.

Nothing new until after the next NL, at least. I'm working on my DV AU but that might be a while, since I'm not sure where my muse wants to take me.
And since I can't write DT stuff - as it hasn't been published yet - that leaves me at something of an impasse.
